How ordinary tap water becomes Kangen Water.
There’s no magic to it - just chemistry and some careful Japanese engineering. Here’s what actually happens between your tap and your glass.
From your tap to your glass.
Every Enagic machine does the same four things, in the same order, each time you turn it on.
-
Filter
Your tap water first passes through a built-in filter that removes chlorine, sediment, rust, and the tastes and odors that ride along with them.
-
Electrolyze
The filtered water flows across a stack of platinum-coated titanium plates carrying an electric current. This is electrolysis - the heart of the machine.
-
Separate
Electrolysis splits the water into two streams: alkaline water for drinking and cooking, and acidic water for cleaning and beauty.
-
Pour
The water you’ve chosen pours from the spout, made fresh in that moment - never bottled, never left to sit.
What the process actually produces.
Molecular Hydrogen
Electrolysis frees dissolved hydrogen gas into the alkaline stream - one of the qualities Kangen Water is known for.
Negative ORP
ORP, measured in millivolts, describes how oxidizing or antioxidant a water is. The alkaline stream reads negative - often several hundred millivolts below zero.
A pH Range of 2.5 - 11.5
By varying the current, one machine spans the whole scale - from strong acidic to strong alkaline - with a setting for each job.
Platinum-Titanium Plates
The plates are titanium for strength, coated in platinum for conductivity and a long, stable life. More plates means more ionizing surface.
Built-In Filtration
Before any electrolysis, the filter handles chlorine, sediment, VOCs and odors - roughly 1,500 gallons before it’s swapped.
Made on Demand
Nothing is stored. Each glass is produced at the tap, the moment you pour it.
Engineered in Japan, certified worldwide.
Enagic builds every machine in its own factories in Japan - and the same company stands behind it for the life of the product. The numbers are easy to look up.

The science is the easy part. Tasting it is better.
Every Enagic machine runs this same process - they differ in power, placement, and how much your household pours. We’ll help you find the right fit.
